How can we help?

Your hearing healthcare is
our highest priority.

Family Audiology is an audiologist-owned practice. This allows us to serve you without the restrictions of national chain store policies, rigid sales quotas or limited product selection.

Family Audiology understands that this is your healthcare and will work with you to arrive at the best treatment for your needs. Everyone is an individual and will be treated as such. There is no one perfect solution for everyone. Each patient's needs and desires will be examined on an individual basis.

Hearing Tests

Adult Hearing Test

A series of diagnostic procedures will result in an overall picture of a patient's hearing called an audiogram. After the patient describes their hearing health history, they will be placed in a quiet sound room where they will listen to an audiologist conduct a series of pure tone and speech based tests through a set of headphones. Hearing sensitivity as well as middle and inner ear function are evaluated. The audiologist will explain test results and treatment options and is happy to answer any questions.

Pediatric (Children's) Hearing Test

An audiologist performs diagnostic measures using age-appropriate behavioral and objective tests. These assessments allow us to determine, as early and precisely as possible, the exact nature of our patients' impairments.

Aural Rehabilitation

Family Audiology's goal is to minimize and alleviate the communication difficulties associated with hearing loss. Aural rehabilitation takes dedication on behalf of the patient and the audiologist. It is important to know patient's thoughts and feelings about their hearing, how it affects their life, and their expectations about possible solutions. A rehabilitation plan may include use of hearing aids, assistive listening devices, or an at-home training program.

Hearing Loss Prevention Consultation

Protecting the hearing you have is equally as important as rehabilitating hearing loss. We provide a full range of products and services designed to protect you from the acoustic traumas of today’s world. We offer a custom hearing protection solution for everyone from musicians to motorcycle enthusiasts.

Evaluation of Auditory Processing

Auditory Processing Disorder (APD)

People with auditory processing disorders may have normal hearing, but they have difficulty understanding auditory information. This may be apparent by difficulty understanding speech in the presence of noise, problems following multi-step directions, and difficulty with phonics or reading comprehension, among other things.

Educators, physicians, speech-language pathologists and others realize the role that auditory processing plays in a person's ability to learn. Proper diagnosis can be made only after the completion of audiometric tests.

Individualized remediation programs are available to help strengthen auditory processing skills in diagnosed children and adults.

For The Kids

Family Audiology believes in working closely with schools to provide students consistent audiological management between school and private audiologist. This cooperation allows students to have the optimum listening environment in their educational setting. As a part of a students evaluation, the necessary reports and forms are completed and mailed to your child's school.

We Respect Your Time
